Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: No — Acero offers cash-based, concierge-style physical therapy, bike fitting, training, and wellness services. This allows us to work directly with you without the limitations of insurance plans.

Q: Do I need a doctor’s referral?
A: No. In California, you are allowed to see a physical therapist directly without a referral.

Q: Where do you provide services?
A: We are fully mobile — I come to you. I serve clients throughout Orange County, including Stanton, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Anaheim, Fullerton and nearby areas.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: For now, we accept cash, and other commonly used payment methods such as Zelle and Venmo.

Physical Therapy & Bike Fitting

Q: What happens during my first session (PT evaluation or bike fit)?
A:

  • For a PT evaluation: we perform a full orthopedic assessment, review your medical and injury history, evaluate your mobility/strength/movement, and discuss your goals. Then we build an individualized treatment plan.

  • For a bike fitting: you’ll get a posture and movement analysis, on-bike assessment, bike geometry adjustments (saddle height, cleats, cockpit, etc.), and personalized mobility/strength recommendations if needed.

Q: How long is a session?
A: Typically, sessions last 60–90 minutes, depending on the service and complexity of your needs.

Q: Do you only work with cyclists?
A: No. While we specialize in cycling rehab and fits, we also see active adults, gym-goers, and anyone needing orthopedic or movement-focused physical therapy, rehab, or strength/mobility training.

Q: Do I need special equipment or clothing for a bike fit?
A: Just wear what you normally cycle in (cycling shoes, helmet, good clothes for movement). If you have cleated shoes or specific cycling gear you use regularly — bring them so the fit matches your regular setup.

Personal Training & Kettlebell / Fitness Services

Q: What is included in your personal training / weight-loss / kettlebell-focused program?
A: You’ll get a customized program tailored to your goals, with focus on kettlebell-based strength training, mobility, functional movement, and sustainable lifestyle habits. Sessions emphasize proper technique, progression, and a plan built around your fitness level.

Q: Who is this training good for?
A: Whether you're new to fitness, returning to exercise after injury, or an experienced rider/athlete — the program is designed to meet you where you are. It’s ideal for fat loss, improving strength, balance, mobility, and overall health.

Logistics & Booking

Q: How do I book a session?
A: You can book via the Calendly link on the website, call/text, email, or DM on Instagram — whichever is easiest for you.

Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
A: Please notify me as soon as possible. I understand that schedules change. (You can outline your specific cancellation/rescheduling policy here — e.g. 24-hour notice, rescheduling windows, etc.)

Q: What if I have questions before booking?
A: Feel free to reach out via phone, email, or Instagram DM. I’m happy to answer any questions about services, pricing, or what to expect in your first session.

Why Choose Acero / What Makes You Different

Q: What makes Acero different from a typical bike shop fit or gym PT?
A: As a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedic rehab, movement science, and cycling biomechanics, I offer a medical-level, holistic approach — not just bike adjustments or generic workouts. I combine movement analysis, strength training, biomechanics, and mobility work to optimize comfort, performance, and long-term health.

Q: Is a bike fit enough if I have pain or injury?
A: If you’re experiencing pain, mobility limitations, or previous injuries, combining a PT evaluation with a bike fit (or rehab + fit) is often more effective than a standard bike shop fit. This approach addresses underlying issues, not just bike geometry.
